Meet your new friends in fitness | Jawhara

A revolutionary new online health and fitness platform has recently been launched in the UAE. The first of its kind in the region, FitnessLink is a health and fitness platform dedicated to promoting health and fitness in the region and helping residents of the Middle East to live a more active, healthy lifestyle.

?

FitnessLink is poised to be the united voice of the health and fitness industry, providing the public with an easily accessible and free resource that will educate and inform them on the A to Z of healthy living. The website features the latest health and fitness news and findings, honest and real guidance from the region?s qualified and leading professionals; from fitness to nutrition to lifestyle, a fitness events calendar and inspiration for healthy living. Equally dedicated to promoting quality health and fitness providers in the region, the website will also feature a comprehensive provider directory of registered companies, ranging from gym facilities to adventure companies to sport medical facilities, which can be easily filtered by activity type and region, making it easier than ever for users to see the array of options available to them for getting active and to connect with a provider that?s right for them.

?

FitnessLink is the brainchild of Grant Goes, a New Zealand-born fitness professional who has been involved in the fitness industry for over 12 years, two of these being within the Middle East. Goes is also the 2012 male winner of the Dubai Fitness Competition held earlier this year under the patronage of Sheikh Majid Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum. The driving force behind the website is the need to increase the region?s knowledge about health and fitness in order to promote healthier living.

?

?Everyone?s fitness journey is different and FitnessLink is here to assist everyone on their individual path; from beginner to enthusiast. In addition to the increasing number of quality fitness providers available, there is so much to do in the UAE and beyond to get active and fit ? it?s not all about hitting the gym! FitnessLink? s purpose is not to promote the quick-fix mentality for that is pervasive in the industry, but to educate and inspire people to make smarter decisions about their lifestyle, hopefully for a lifetime.?

?

Set to become the ?home of Middle East health and fitness?, FitnessLink has already attracted vast interest from the industry and the public, reflecting the strong need for of platform of its kind in a region where the importance of leading an active and healthy lifestyle is getting increased recognition and attention. Goes says: ?The support from the industry so far has been phenomenal; it?s a testament to the passion and dedication to making the region healthier together?.
